Alpha Reading is a service where one of our staff reads a book prior to editing in order to give feedback on Plot, Storyline, Writing Style, and Character Development.

The author provides a list of questions, up to thirty, for the Alpha Reader to answer. Clients will be provided with some generic questions to choose from (or can make up their own), which can be personalized to fit the needs of their book.

Sample questions include things like:

Did the opening scene draw you in, make you want to read more?

Were any scene changes confusing?

Were the descriptions too long or too short?

Was the ending satisfactory or did you throw the MS across the room in irritation?

Authors requesting this service should be prepared for honest critiques.

This service is intended to help the author prepare for editing. Alpha readers do not mark editing issues, such as spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Alpha Reading Fee: $.00125 per word ($15.00 minimum)
