PageTurner Reviews is a small, independent corner of the reading world. We publish clear, spoiler-light notes for readers who want a useful steer before choosing their next book.
What We Do
We read widely and value curiosity over consensus. Our reviews cover indie and self-published fiction alongside traditionally published titles, because good writing does not always come through the same channels. We are particularly fond of mystery, historical fiction, literary fiction and the occasional left-field gem that does not fit neatly into any category.
Every review is written by a real person who has read the book from cover to cover. We do not accept payment for positive reviews, and we do not publish reviews of books we cannot honestly recommend. If a book does not work for us, we simply do not review it rather than dressing up a negative opinion as clickbait.
How We Choose What to Review
Our review team selects books based on personal interest, reader suggestions and submissions from authors and publishers. We prioritise books that offer something distinctive, whether that is an unusual voice, a fresh take on a familiar genre or a story that lingers after the final page.
We are happy to consider review copies from indie authors and small presses. Please see our submission guidelines before sending anything.
